Although Germantown-based Gehl Foods has delayed occupying the plant, it has begun installing plastic blow molding lines that will be used to make plastic drink bottles at the site, said Mark Piotrowicz, assistant director of community development for West Bend. Cott inks $40 million bottling deal Feb 2, 2008
The agreement calls for Cott to lease blow molding and water bottling equipment manufactured by Sidel Group, a supplier of packaging equipment and expertise for beverages and liquid products. The equipment strengthens Cott's manufacturing capabilities at four of its locations while also allowing Cott to produce additional "green" products that are more environmentally friendly, the release said.
