SAP regional call centre to create 30 new jobs Jul 17, 2009
It was reported earlier this week that SAP Asia Pacific Japan had inked a deal to outsource its demand generation and telemarketing services in nine countries to Datacom SEA (M) Sdn Bhd. The call centre will be based at Menara Olympia in Kuala Lumpur. (The Star Online, Malaysia -- Business)

In a recent filing with the local stock exchange, Paxys Inc, a telemarketing service provider which handles global calls and correspondence from customers, said it is trimming down by one-fifth its 4,205 employees as a result of the global financial crisis. The influential Makati Business Club, a local business group, meanwhile expects that at least one-fifth of the country's largest firms will cut their work force this year. (Asia Times Online)
