    Installing more insulation and more energy efficient doors, windows, lighting, water heaters, air conditioning and appliances can reduce energy use in a house by as much as 40 percens. The White House estimates weatherization also could lower greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 160 million metric tons annually by 2020, but one of the biggest hurdles to greater energy efficiency is cost.     Brenham Fire Department  Oct 20, 2009
    They made entry into the home and found a light haze of smoke, the source of which turned out to be a water heater with a short-circuited fuse. The electrical breaker to the water heater was turned off, and the only damage that occurred in the incident was to the water heater. (Brenham Banner, TX)
